Who we are
We are a research group at the Department of Theoretical Physics III at the University of Würzburg, Germany. This privacy declaration refers web pages published on the domain tp3.app and its subdomains. The apps have separate privacy declarations on the respective pages.
Summary
As a part of our research, we publish open-source software projects and multiplatform apps. Our websites at tp3.app provide additional information about these apps such as download links, operation instructions, application-specific privacy statements, and links to the public source code. Except for the contact form (see below), all pages are “read only”, i.e., we do not collect any user data. There is no possibility to register, to log in, or to leave comments on our pages.
What personal data we collect and why we collect it
Contact form
If you use the contact form, an e-mail will be sent to us which contains the data that you provide. The data that you provide is encrypted during transfer (https). To protect us against spam, we use a Google reCAPTCHA-v3 spam filter and an Akismet spam filter (see below).
Cookies
Visiting our web pages, the multilingual plugin (WPGlobus) stores permanent cookies on your hard drive in order to remember the selected language. This allows you to find your chosen language settings when you visit the pages again. Go to the browser settings to see a list of the installed cookies (for example, press Shift-F9 if you are using Firefox).
Embedded content from other websites
Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website. These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracking your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to that website.
Analytics
We do not analyze the access to our website. In particular, we do not use Google Analytics or similar services.
Who we share your data with
We do not share any of your information or data with third parties.
How long we retain your data
If you send us a request via the contact form, we receive an e-mail that we will keep until your request has been processed.
Spam protection
The contact form uses two components for spam protection:
- Google invisible reCaptcha v2. When using the contact form Google may collect data about the way in which you connect our website. The use of the Invisible reCAPTCHA is subject to the Google Privacy Policy and Terms of Use.
- Your name and your e-mail address is automatically checked by an Asikmet spam filter. When using the contact form Akismet.com may collect data about the way in which you connect our website. Details can be found in the Privacy Policy of Asikmet.
